Gloria Hall was born in Moncrief Quarters, Sylvania, Georgia in 1954. Her mother’s mother then raised her in the countryside in Millhaven, Georgia. When it was time to go to college, she attended Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia for three years. Then she decided she didn’t want to be a nurse and moved to Boston where her sister was living. While in Boston she worked for a real estate company that was based in Worcester. She met Joseph, her husband, when she sold him a house in Worcester. After twelve years of living in Boston, Gloria moved to Worcester with her husband. They had two kids; one girl and one boy. Their first house together was across the street from an administration building and because of this, Gloria became involved in volunteer work. Throughout her life she has also been involved in a neighborhood association, political campaigns, a Saturday school program, and is on the committee board for the Worcester Historical Museum. Along with her very giving and passionate nature, she views herself as a spiritual person.
